Durga Puja Festival 2008
One of the anciest puja in West Bengal in India. Duga Puja festival is a festival of joy for whole India. As per Indian holy book "Gita" goddess devi Durga came to earth to save the human from the hand of very cruel asur(Devil) king "Mahisasur". Mahisasur is a asur(Devil) who got a super power from god of god "Lord Mahadev Shiv" by doing difficult devotion for "Lord Mahadev Shiv", Mahisasur stands in one leg for one year in the name of "Mahadev Shiv" so "Mahadev Shiv" has given him super power. Due to that super power he cannot be killed by any Man, children, animals nothing else and he cannot grow older also but only one woman can kill him this is the conditon of that super power. Mahisasur thought that a woman can't kill him as woman are weak so he agreed the condition.
After getting the super power Mahisasur started to capture the whole Earth and forced the rishis, common people to pray him as a god not to others. He also kill those who pray to Lord Shiva who have given him the power. Mahisasur want to become the almighty so he want to capture the heaven where all Devta(god) lives and their King name is Devraj Indra. Mahisasur made big asur(devils) troops and capture the heaven all the devta and devraj Indra went to god of god "Mahadev Shiv", "Mahadev Vishnu" and "Mahadev Brahma" and pray them to save the devta from the hand of Mahisasur.
